Metricool pricing in 2026: what each plan includes and the cost per brand
Metricool bills per brand, not per seat. On October 14, 2026 the published rates run from $0 for 1 brand up to $210 a month for 50, and paying yearly cuts that by 20 to 24 percent. Below is every tier in both currencies, the cost per brand at each step, and what you actually get.
A brand in Metricool means one set of connected social accounts, so one business with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn counts as a single brand. That is the meter. Seats are not mentioned on the pricing page at all.
Metricool plans and prices, October 14, 2026
Taken from the Metricool pricing page on October 14, 2026. All figures are per month and exclude VAT, which is added before you sign. The annual column is the monthly-equivalent rate when you commit to a year.
| Plan | Brands | Annual, per month | Monthly | Annual saving |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | $0 / €0 | $0 / €0 | n/a |
| Starter | up to 5 | $20 / €16 | $25 / €20 | 20% |
| Starter | up to 10 | $36 / €29 | $45 / €37 | 20% |
| Advanced | up to 15 | $53 / €43 | $67 / €54 | 21% |
| Advanced | up to 25 | $85 / €69 | $107 / €87 | 21% |
| Advanced | up to 50 | $159 / €130 | $210 / €172 | 24% |
| Custom | custom | contact sales | contact sales | n/a |
Two things to read carefully here. First, Starter and Advanced are not single prices: each one is a ladder of brand counts, and the "from" price you see on the page is only the bottom rung. Second, the 24 percent discount Metricool advertises applies at the top of the ladder. At 5 or 10 brands the annual saving is 20 percent.
The real metricool cost per brand
Dividing the monthly rate by the brands included gives the number that matters when you are choosing a tier.
| Brands | Annual, cost per brand | Monthly, cost per brand |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | $4.00 | $5.00 |
| 10 | $3.60 | $4.50 |
| 15 | $3.53 | $4.47 |
| 25 | $3.40 | $4.28 |
| 50 | $3.18 | $4.20 |
The curve is flat. Going from 5 brands to 50 improves the per-brand cost by 21 percent on annual billing, which is a far smaller discount than most per-seat tools give at volume. The practical consequence: do not buy a bigger tier for the unit price. Buy it for the features, because that is where the real jumps are.
Note also what happens between rungs. If you manage 11 brands you pay the 15-brand rate, $53 a month annually, so your effective cost per brand is $4.82 rather than $3.53. The ladder rewards you only when you land exactly on a rung.
What each of the metricool plans adds
| Level | What it adds over the one below |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 brand, every network except LinkedIn and X, 20 scheduled posts a month, 5 competitor profiles, 30 days of analytics history, the AI assistant, Metricool MCP |
| Starter | up to 10 brands, unlimited publishing under a fair use policy, up to 100 competitors, LinkedIn connection, unlimited analytics history, PDF and PPT reports, multiple link-in-bio, Flows, Google Drive and Canva, limited Campaign Dashboards and Metricool Studio, access to the X and Advanced Analytics add-ons |
| Advanced | up to 50 brands, team and client management, role management, a post approval system, complete X analytics, customizable report templates, the Data Studio connector, the Metricool API with Zapier and Make |
| Custom | a custom brand count, White Label, a dedicated account manager, custom AI assistant credits, integration into your own product |
The two upgrades that actually force a decision:
- LinkedIn needs Starter. The zero-cost level connects every network except LinkedIn and X. If LinkedIn is part of your work, Metricool starts at $20 a month, not $0.
- The API needs Advanced. Zapier, Make and the Metricool API appear only at Advanced, so the cheapest programmatic access is $53 a month on annual billing. Approvals and client roles sit at the same step, which is why most agencies land on Advanced regardless of brand count.
Worth noting in Metricool's favour: Metricool MCP is listed on every level, the zero-cost one included. Plenty of tools in this category put their MCP server behind the top plan or do not ship one at all.
What is billed on top
Two items on the Starter and Advanced lists are add-ons, not inclusions: the X add-on and the Advanced Analytics add-on. The pricing page grants access to them rather than including them, and does not print their price. Complete X analytics is separately listed as an Advanced inclusion, which makes the boundary between the add-on and the plan feature genuinely hard to read from the page alone.
If your plan depends on either, check the price in-app before you commit to a year. VAT is the other line that moves the real total, since every figure above is pre-tax.
When an API costs less than a metricool plan
Metricool is a dashboard with a scheduler, competitor tracking and reporting. You open it, you look, you plan. That is the right purchase if a human runs your accounts and wants one screen.
It is the wrong purchase if the thing publishing is code. For that comparison the meter changes from brands to connected accounts:
| Metricool Advanced | PlugKit Creator | PlugKit Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price per month | $53 annual, $67 monthly | $49 | $97 |
| Meter | 15 brands | 5 connected accounts | 30 connected accounts |
| Programmatic access | Metricool API, Zapier, Make | full REST API and hosted MCP | full REST API and hosted MCP |
| Dashboard and reporting | yes, its main job | minimal | minimal |
| Competitor tracking | yes, up to 100 | no | no |
The honest read: if you want competitor data, Looker-style reporting and a planning calendar, Metricool wins and PlugKit does not compete. If you want an agent or a script to publish, read comments and answer DMs without you opening a tab, Metricool's API at Advanced is an automation bridge, not a publishing API, and that is where PlugKit fits at $49 a month for 5 connected accounts, cancel anytime. There are 7 days free, no card, with 1 connected account during the trial.
For the wider field, see the honest list of Instagram automation tools and the alternatives round-up covering Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, Metricool and Publer. If your meter is contacts rather than brands, ManyChat pricing breaks down that model. For the developer path, start with the social media API guide.
FAQ
How much does Metricool cost per month?
From $0 for 1 brand to $210 a month for 50 brands on monthly billing, as published on October 14, 2026. The common tiers are $25 a month for 5 brands and $67 a month for 15. Annual billing lowers those to $20 and $53 a month. Every figure excludes VAT.
Is Metricool free?
There is a level at $0 a month. It covers 1 brand, 20 scheduled posts a month, 5 competitor profiles and 30 days of analytics history, and it excludes LinkedIn and X. It is a real working tier for one small account, not a time-limited trial.
What counts as a brand in Metricool?
One brand is one set of connected social accounts. Connecting Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn for the same business uses one brand, not five. That is why Metricool looks cheap next to per-account tools and why agencies, which need one brand per client, climb the ladder fast.
Does Metricool have an API?
Yes, at the Advanced level, where it is listed alongside Zapier and Make. That makes $53 a month on annual billing the entry price for programmatic access. Metricool MCP is available on every level including the $0 one.
Is annual billing worth it?
It saves 20 percent at 5 and 10 brands, 21 percent at 15 and 25, and 24 percent at 50. You commit to a year upfront. If your brand count is still moving, the monthly rate buys the freedom to drop a tier, which is worth more than 20 percent when a client leaves.
